The thought of a boudoir session can be very scary. When talking to women about their sessions, I get asked all kinds of questions. So I wanted to compile a list of my 12 most frequently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir photoshoot with me!

Do You Share My Images?

My number one priority is making sure all of my clients are comfortable. It can be a life changing experience, but that also makes it nerve wracking! Sometimes you are learning how to love your body and you aren’t quite ready to share the images with the world. Or sometimes these photos are specifically for someone special and not for everyone else’s eyes. There are so many good reasons for not sharing your photos and it all depends on your personal preference. I will never share photos without your permission and I will only ever share the ones you give me permission to share.

Do I have to wear lingerie?

You definitely don’t have to wear lingerie if you don’t want to! There are so many outfit ideas from chunky sweaters to leather jackets!

Do you have payment plans?

I offer several payment options! There is a booking retainer to reserve your spot on the calendar. Then on the day of your session you will also have your reveal where you pick your package and pay for it. If you have a good idea of what you are looking for, but you want to spread the payments out, you can opt for a pre-payment plan where you pay toward your package before your session. If you would prefer to pay after, you can set up post-payment plans too!

Is hair and makeup included?

Hair and make-up is included in all of my boudoir shoots! I think it is so important for you to be able to come to the studio, get pampered and chat a bit before your session to help loosen your nerves. You can pick from natural all the way to full on glam! Just FYI, if makeup isn’t your thing, no worries, you don’t have to have it done.

Do you Photoshop my images?

I do retouch all images for light and color correction and light skin smoothing. I will never edit anything out that is permanent. I truly believe that all of our lumps, bumps and scars tell the story of who we are and where we have been. I will edit out acne or bruises though! If you are still on your journey toward self-love but have certain parts your still not totally in love with, don’t worry- I am skilled in posing and using light to help you shine like a star!

Where should I buy my outfits?

There are so many places you can buy lingerie and outfits. I always love Amazon because they have an incredible variety and fast shipping (plus your SO won’t question another amazon package!). Other places include savagex.com, adoreme.com, Torrid, SpicyLingerie.com, Victoria’s Secret and Honey Birdette.

Do you offer digitals?

All of my packages include a printed product because I firmly believe that you deserve so much more than being forgotten on a usb stick in the junk drawer. I believe you’re worth more than losing your photos if your phone crashes. With that being said, I have an A La Carte menu that includes an option to add on digital images!

I’m freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?

Nerves are all part of the experience! I would be more concerned if you WEREN’T nervous! Afterall, how often do people strip down in front of a stranger with a camera, lol! Don’t worry, all of those nerves will melt away and make your “WOW” moment so much better when you finally get to see your images.

How many outfits should I bring?

Each photoshoot includes 3-4 outfit changes (plus nudes if you’d like!). If you can’t decide what to bring, bring them all and I will help you decide at the shoot.

Should I get to my shoot early?

Feel free to come right on time! You’ll get right to hair and make up, and after we will go over your outfit choices.

Where is your studio located?

My studio is located just outside of Downtown Syracuse at the Gear Factory! I love the rustic feel of the building and I know you will too!
