You Don’t Have To Be A Mermaid

This is one of the biggest misconceptions about underwater portraits.
You don’t need to be an incredible swimmer.
You don’t need to hold your breath for minutes at a time.
You don’t need modeling experience.
You don’t need to know how to move underwater.
I’ll teach you everything.
We’ll work together one breath at a time, creating beautiful images in a calm, controlled environment where your comfort and safety always come first.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’m not saying you need to be a Michael Phelps level swimmer to be able to do an Underwater Photoshoot, but you do need to be comfortable in the water. You only need to be able to hold your breath for a couple seconds and submerge without plugging your nose. We can stay in the shallow end if that makes you more comfortable, but if you are feeling adventurous, we can go deep!

The most common outfits for an Underwater Portrait Session are lightweight, flowy dresses, traditional lingerie, fluffy robes, or even just your birthday suit!

I have several items available for you to use and I am ALWAYS happy to go shopping with or for you!

If you have a pool in your yard (preferably underground and at least 6′ deep) we can absolutely use your pool! I would travel to you with all of my gear! If you don’t have your own pool, I have several pools available for me to use during the warmer months. During the off season, I will use a large indoor pool in Syracuse- but don’t worry, its nice and private! I’ve also spent a lot of time exploring the wilds of nature and know of some amazing natural areas in NY and beyond! I’m never not willing to travel for an amazing photoshoot experience for you!

Each and every session comes with 1-2 hours of shoot time; underwater make up application; wig application, if desired; access to wardrobe items; and a dedicated, trained underwater safety swimmer.

There is a $699 session fee due to book your underwater portrait experience. Image and product collections are sold separately starting at $475.
